The War bonnet was an American icon in the same sense as MacDonald's.  With the recent merger with the Burlington Northern Railroad the new company has decided to abandon this famous paint scheme that dates back to the mid 1930's.  A pity though there is a movement going on primarily from ex-Santa Fe employees to bring this popular scheme back.

The picture was taken by Midway Stadium with what I considered poor back lighting.  With a little magic it was changed to something a little more interesting (20).  Not totally happy a little more artistic magic took place with the final results being (21).  Amazing what imagination, creativity and Photoshop can do when you set your mind to it!

Picture 22:  Picture of Empire State Building taken in 1972 by Larry Mack.  Add a Navy Blue Angel landing at Glenview Air Station (now abandoned) in 1969 also by Larry  Mack, add  Adobe Photoshop and a few filters plus a wicked imagination and you really have a bad hair  Monday in Manhattan!

All pictures were edited by  Larry Mack using Adobe Photoshop 5.5, ImageReady 2.0 and a few other applications.
